The Kansas Center for Performance Excellence

KCPE facilitates public- and private-sector performance improvement initiatives through its four PEER services:
(1) Promotion – assisting Kansas businesses and public institutions in valuing their returns on investments in enterprise performance evaluation and improvement programs;
(2) Education – lowering barriers to initiation of performance improvement activities by offering networking opportunities and guidance in selecting suitable tools and strategies;
(3) Evaluation – providing objective, insightful and actionable feedback on organizations’ assessments of their own performance using the Baldrige Criteria;
(4) Recognition – demonstrating and celebrating success through the Kansas Awards for Excellence (KAE) program.

KCPE and its Kansas Awards for Excellence program ceased operations on December 31, 2011. At that time, KCPE's Board of Directors provided limited resources, through the State Alliance for Performance Excellence, for ongoing support of Kansas organizations' performance improvement efforts. KCPE encourages potential participants to investigate all options. State programs do differ. KCPE's outgoing Board found that the Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence, in particular, could offer programs and capabilities on the ground in Kansas consonant with local interests.
